Delta High School Advances in the CO State Football Playoffs. The Delta Panthers traveled to Glenwood Springs for the game. This wasn't a high scoring game, but Delta had what it took to win the game and keep their season alive. Delta is a Division 3A school.
The weather was cold and this was a nasty day for football. Delta led 13-3 at the half. Glenwood scored a touchdown in the 3rd quarter, but that was it for the scoring and Delta held on to win the game 13-9.
The next game is 11/23. Delta will play the winner of the Pueblo East and Silver Creek game. Stay tuned for more information.
In other Delta County Football news, the Paonia Eagles beat Buena Vista and will head to the state championship game next Saturday.
