The holidays are a great time to reconnect with past clients!

The holidays are a great time to reconnect with past clients! With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it’s time to gear up for the final weeks of 2013!

The holidays are a great time to reconnect with old clients. A hand-addressed holiday card is nearly always opened and displayed throughout the season.

It’s also a good time to perform some database maintenance as many new contacts are made every year and occasionally some are lost for one reason or another.

I also like to remind owner-occupant clients that bought in the current year to apply for their Georgia property tax Homestead Exemption after January 1 and before March 30 so they can benefit from lower taxes from next year onward!

I have always tried to mail my cards out the week after Thanksgiving, which means I need to get started right now!

In a high tech world it’s nice to do something the old fashioned way.

And it is nearly always appreciated.

Hi Richard,

Indeed the holidays are here.  I am loving the decorations and all of the planned events throughout South Fulton.  I too plan to get our cards out right after Thanksgiving.  Best of GREAT success to you always!

Richard - There are certain "Old School" approaches that stand out in this digital age... and the hand addressed holiday card is one of the best examples.  Think of the shelf life and free exposure to everyone at the holiday party / open house.

Yes, this is the perfect time to do it.  I've been mentioning to our customers that they need to reapply for their STAR exemption for lower taxes. (this is for existing home owners)

Richard, I think when it comes to these cards, the old fashioned way works best!

It's so nice to find something in the mailbox beyond bills & junk mail! I like to send out Thanksgiving cards reminding past clients that I'm thinking of them & thankful to have helped them buy or sell. Which reminds me I better get on it!!

We have several "touches" with past clients this time of year.  Friday when I stopped by to see "what they'd done with the place" when former buyers asked me by, I was thrilled to see my calendar I just mailed on their frig. :)

Contacting past clients with good information to save them money shows them you were not just in it for the sale.
