We are not doing anything til the holidays are over.

This is a cop out for why? My former business was auto collision repair. We understood money would be spent on Christmas gift's and the dent could wait til after the new year.

My question is, "why does a home purchase have to wait"? The price of a home is so far out of line with the price of gifts, that I can't see why the holidays matter on a price like that. If you don't watch yourself and run the credit cards up, you might not be able get the home anyway.

During the holidays a home usually shows well. Decorated and smells good! A great time to see if the roof leaks and if the heating system is up to speed. Buyers and Sellers wake up.

So whats with the waiting til the holidays are over excuse?

Hi Rob, I totally agree! If that right home comes on the market, it doesn't matter what time of year it is! Sellers can get the jump on the spring season when they'll be competing with lots more homes and buyers are always looking for those new homes if they've already exhausted what is currently on the market
