Benicia is in the top 50 safest cities in California as of 11/18/2013.  Our fair city ranked #40 and what an honor it is.  This is a SafeWise report that "examined data from the most recent FBI Crime in the U.S. Report and married it with our own thorough research to produce a comprehensive list of the 50 safest cities in California, with 20,000 residents or more, as of 2011."  From this extensive research this company came up with the top 50 safest cities in California.

SafeWise is a resource for anything to do with security and safety products.  Our boss passed on the announcement made today about Benicia.   This is not our first reognition and this only serves to show Benicia is a great place to live! Our city has so much to offer as a small town yet close to San Francisco.  We have hills, water, parks, fantastic schools, parades, and a vibrant arts community.

YEA!! Benicia is in the top 50 safest cities in California as of 11/18/2013.

I think Benicia is one of the Bay Area "sleeper" cities - often overlooked, but a delightful place.
