Vanilla Ice Cream anyone?

Vanilla Ice Cream anyone?

I want this to be information one just usually doesn’t hear.  If you have I would like to know if you haven’t all the better you’ve learned something today.  With that being said here is the information for you to consider today.

The FDA has guidelines for the amount of “filth” your food is allowed to contain, including insects, hair and parasites! Some of this is unavoidable – nature just isn’t sterile. But after reading this list, who would have thought Hot Dogs sound clean? Maybe next time you’ll think twice about grabbing a handful of jelly beans when walking through the office.

If you’re a label-reader like me, you may see castoreum listed on vanilla & raspberry ice cream.

What they don’t say on the label is that castoreum is the anal secretions & urine from a beaver. While not known to be harmful, knowing there’s beaver pee in your ice cream may help you cut empty calories!

Now go out and tell the world of your new found knowledge.  Smile it will make people wonder what you’ve been up to.  Join us tomorrow for another journey into the wonderful world of Wordsmith.  Click on the link below.  Who knows you may learn something along the way and some of the words may even bring a smile to your face.   Wise Custom Realty is hiring in AR., PA., MO., CO., and OK. call me for details.

How in the world can they possibly derive enough stuff from beavers to put in all the vanilla and raspberry ice creams?  That must be a chemical because there aren't enough beavers in the world to supply the zillions of gallons of ice cream out there!

I am so happy that we don't have beavers in South Florida so our local ice cream shop makes their ice cream fresh. I'll bet there is some alligator stuff in it though.

Ok so that gives me pause.  A good argument for a healthy immune system and whatever you have to do to keep it that way.

Hi James,

You would be amazed at what is in the foods we buy every single day. We eat a lot of crap we didn't even know was in the food.

Have a great day in Rogers.

Best, Clint McKie

Put 40 years of experience to work for you

See, there is a reason for gelato and forget about ice cream. Plus, gelato is generally fewer calories but tastes just as rich and I bet there's zero beaver pee in gelato.

James, I am not surprised. I have become a label reader thanks to my husband. And did you know the coloring in yogurt such as strawberry, raspberry, blueberry...are from crushed insects?? GROSS!!! I am trying to lose weight. Learning that factoid about ice cream will surely help me lose weight!!! My hubby calls it frozen pus!
