Huntsville Alabama Friendship Bridge
Located in Big Spring Park, downtown Huntsville Alabama is the well known "Friendship Bridge" the "Red Bridge". Major General Mikio Kimata donated the "Friendship Bridge" along with 60 cherry trees as a thank you to the city of Huntsville for its hospitality during his attending the Redstone Arsenal's Ordinance Guided Missile Program.
Big Spring Park is a great place to stroll and see some of the other gifts of thanks to the city. With the Von Braun Center across the street and the Davidson Center for the Arts there's always something to do.
