The Buyer's MOST WANTED FEATURES list

The Buyer's Most Wanted Features list in a new home may surprise you... and then again, it may not.  

It's always interesting to see how the Buyer's "Wants" seem to change with the economic, political and social trends we may be experiencing at any one point in time in our partucular area of the country. For example, here in the Greater San Diego area where energy costs are insane (and that includes electric, gas, and water), we are always looking for ways to cut those household costs to the lowest level possible.  

So what can you as a homeowner and potential Home Seller do to make sure your home has all the Buyer's most wanted features?  It just so happens I can give you a little insight to that pesky question.  

According to the National Association of Home Builders, here are the top 11 items today's Buyer wants to see in that house for sale:

1. 94 % want Energy Star-rated Appliances. (So replace those worn out Amana Radar Ranges...)
2. 83% want a Laundry Room. (the more counter space, built in sink, clothes hanging rack or built in shelving, the  better).
