Log Homes For Sale in Loudoun County, Virginia.
We Know You Love Them.

There are only 8 log constructed homes available for sale in Loudoun County.  They vary widely in price range, lot size, location and features.

These log homes range in price from $89,000 in Bluemont to $2,799,000 in Hamilton.

Few of these homes are "stick built" today.  The craftsmen are simply not available.  Most, in my experience, are constructed from "KITS" of pre-fabricated parts and assempled on-site by local contractors.  The end result, IMO, is a far more quality product that a "scratch" log home.

If you're ready to satisfy your dream of owning a log home, CALL LENN, 800-711-7988.  WE CAN HELP!

Lenn you are right I love the look of a Log Home, but they are a nightmare to get comps for here in Connecticut, but I love they look on the inside.

Lenn, we are looking to eventually build a log home...I saw that one has whitewashing on the wood, is that right? I had heard of someone doing this recently, because she didn't want all of that wood look inside. Personally, I WANT the logs, their original colors to be part of my interior.

We have many MANY things to address, long before we get SERIOUS. But, it sure is fun to look at! (My hubby would FREAK if I sent this 2nd one with that $899K price tag)!

Great success to you on these!

George.  Comps are not easy here either.  I have 2-3 buyers express a preferance for log homes every year or so and, when I look at them, I can rarely find comps.  The key of course is cash, lots of cash.

Gayle.  Often the logs are covered with stucco and white wash.  I've seen that.  Fact is, these homes are usually quite old and anything could have happened over the years depending on the whims of owners.

Lenn, log homes are quite popular in Northern Arizona, there are two construction companies that specialize in them. Basically, it's manufactured and then put together on site.

Great local post about log homes.  Log homes are such unique characters!  We also have a type similar to what Nancy mentions that ends up as a net zero home.  It's made in Prescott and delivered, not as a log home, but similar concept.  Pretty cool!

Good luck and success.

Sure we love them, but can tell you they are a challenge when it comes to mortgages. If they are in areas that comps aren't readily available, many lenders won't do them.

Nancy.  Right you are.  I mentioned that in the post.  I'm sure you have more of them in AZ than we would in Virginia.

Jan.  Indeed.  I'm familiar with that type too.  They are sold in this area.  The difficulty is finding a good lot.

Lou.  Thanks.  I think most folks enjoy theirs.  I've sold a few.

Joe.  THAT is why there are so few of them around.  Comps are extremely difficult.
