Hot or cold, Utah is still a jewel!

furnaces on

Definitely a seasonal decline in temperatures in Sandy UT. It is Fall after all.

Leaves have changed color, fallen. Brisk breezes have given mine to my neighbors', and I have been passed along more from trees and lawns unknown. Usual surprises of drifting plastic shopping bags. (Where do they escape from?)

I have just come in from 35F at 6pm. To make me feel better, it is supposed to feel like 28F (as if I'm supposed to have calibrated skin with appropriate sensors.)

According to the Weather App on my tablet, the next time I am likely to see sunshine is Monday when it might get to 45F (feels like?? - who knows), and by Thanksgiving we may even get to 47F.

I had become conscious of our furnace coming on and off from different sounds of the thermostat. It may be my imagination, but I think  have detected another sound. (Can't make up miy mind sound). My best indicator of outside temperatures: our cats. Today it has been not half a nose past the door jamb cold.

A few extra layers, and anyone in Utah can be ready for anything.

Visitors may need a hat, gloves, pocket warmers etc

Larry: This is truly a fabulous time of the year. Winter has not set in yet, and just the thought of the Holidays coming up is always wondrous to me.

Good morning Larry. Clearly you love your home and the state where you reside. It's great isn't? I too feel that way.

Hella - anytime is a good time. Happy you have your favorites. Enjoy thanksgiving.

Wayne - thanks for spreading your sunshine. Enjoy your warmth.

Sheila - Utah's great, mate. I guess we can all be a bit enamoured with personal choices of residence.
