The Nicest Compliment

Mortgage and Lending with Bay Equity, LLC 770-634-4021 NMLS #206275 GA 25689

The nicest compliment is when you are recognized by a referral partner for doing a good job.  We all have those tough deals every now and then.  I recently closed a loan for a buyer that waited for 18 months to buy the home.  It was a short sale where the servicing lender was dragging their feet every step of the way.  The buyer was determined.  This was the home that he wanted.  If he was willing to stick with it, I wasn't going to say no.  We were all delighted when we got him to the closing table last month.

Today the Realtor and I were discussing another deal that will be closing next month.  As we were comparing the two transactions she said to me, "If you can close (buyer's name withheld), you can do anything, you're just like Wonder Woman."

Okay, I have never felt that I match the talents of Wonder Woman, but it was a nice compliment and it made my day.

Kathy: that takes a lot of determination to go that long to close a deal. Good for you and the buyer. I can see why you are called "Wonder Woman".

Kathy, We don't give compliments often enough. A simple thank you can erase many angry and less appreciative clients.

Kathy, Short sales can be a stressful time and lenders aren't immune.  Congratulations on hanging in there!  You deserve the compliment and many more "thank yous" for what you do.  Share in the great feeling of seeing the buyers celebrate their new home and know you helped make it happen!
