Great Whitetail and Turkey Habitat in Eau Claire County Wisconsin
Eau Claire County not only has the largest city in Northwest Wisconsin, but it is also a great place to live if you are a deer or turkey.
Our clients at Woodland Management Service own a fair amount of forest land in this county and they are quite happy with the bountiful wildlife here.
Eau Claire County is home to more than 167 thousand acres of forest land, most of which is private land with the remaining 57 thousand acres being primarily on the County Forest.
Most of this forest land is Oak with nearly 100 thousand acres of Oak forests which provide premium deer and turkey habitat. There are also over 20 thousand acres of quality Red and Jack Pine forests which provide good winter habitat and good income for the forest landowners.
These forests are not only good for producing income for our clients and great habitat for Deer and Turkeys, but it also provides good habitat for many other critters like Bears, Grouse, Wolves and more.
