Fortunately, volunteer opportunities were available for me to help on Friday, as exhibitors were arriving to set up their respective booths. Using a map, a few other volunteers and I helped show the exhibitors where to park, the area on a map for their booths and sometimes helped them unload and move in items to set up. For me, it was rewarding to get involved with a community event, and over time I think it can be a good way to establish new contacts and friendships with a lot of interesting people!
Below are a few sample photos I took on Friday morning, Nov. 22nd, before the show actually began.
Above is an amazing assortment of unconventional banjos made by James Floyd from Pensacola, FL.
