Buying Naked

Buying Naked!  Nope, I don't mean going into the home buying process unprepared, I mean actually doing the home search in person while actually NAKED, in your birthday suit!

I know, I know in most of the country and for nearly all of you this would be ridiculous, but here in the Tampa Bay area there is a certain segment of the population that do it every day.  Sure it is a very small percentage, but the buyers and sellers are typically very well-to-do and often own multiple homes, so it is a very NICHE and lucrative market.  

The county directly north of Tampa (which is located in Hillsborough county) is called Pasco county and bills itself as home to the largest number of nudist resorts in the country.  A claim that is probably hard to dispute.

A friend of mine and fellow Realtor at Keller Williams Tampa Properties, Jackie Youngblood, has established herself as the Go To Realtor if you are interested in living and owning within this market.  To her, Buying Naked is almost a daily occurrence.  Jackie is a practicing nudist, however her professionalism prevents her from working nude, although many of her customers do.  She has become so well known to this segment of buyers and sellers that TLC recently shot a two episode TV program called, what else,  Buying Naked .

You can search your own local listings for the showing times depending on your local cable provider, the show is shot with sort of a humorous twist, but the reality is very, very real

Certainly, Nudism is not for everyone, whether as a personal preference or as a part of your profession.  However, it is a part of our society.  Just like any niche market, working with a particular segment of of the real estate market take time and expertise, Jackie has certainly established herself if you are considering Buying Naked.
