Speechless Sunday:  Driving Home from the Market

La Quinta Homes

We had our first "winter storm" this weekend, meaning we had some clouds, sprinkles, and the day time temp dropped to 70 degrees.  Of course, the sun doesn't stay away long here in the desert.  I was driving home from the market and pulled over to capture this shot... the light and the sky were so clear.

A far cry from a winter storm in Ohio.....but I actually like that "white stuff" on the ground.  Beautiful photo Kathy.

70 degrees is called winter?  How fascinating it is 32 and dropping here in NW Arkansas.  spitting ice and the roads are getting bad.  Another typical winter day getting ready for work

Not much of a storm Kathy!  :)

Beautiful shot of the desert sky and landscape.

Hi Kathy - isn't it amazing what a few raindrops can transform a beautiful scene and make it even prettier, clearer and just a bit crisper?   Nicely captured photo.

Kathy,

Sadly we don't have winters like that here in NJ.  Yesterday the temp was in the high teens!  Today it's a balmy 35 degrees out.  You have our sympathies.  :)

Palm trees, a blue sky, a picturesque landscape, and 70 degrees, in late November. . .What's not to love!

Hi Kathy,  What you have there is what we don't have.  Back t the grass is greener somewhere else, we don't have palm trees or mountains to look at.  It's cold and 17 degrees with freezing rain here in northern Indina.  You want to trade for about 3 months?
