They range from a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom cottage on Gumbletown Road listed at $17,000 to a 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom Lake Wallenpaupack Lakefront listed at $3,933,000.
198 residential properties closed in Pike and Wayne County in October. Currently there are 64 non-foreclosure pending listings in Pike and Wayne County (14 pending foreclosure listings).
According to the National Association of Realtors, on average, pending homes sales continued to move lower in October which is contrary to what is happening in Pike & Wayne county. Pike & Wayne county only had 25 pending contracts in September. During October, the area had a 140% increase in pendings with 64 pending listings.

The average list price in Pike County was $225,279. The average days on the market was 243 - up from September 2013 (homes are sitting on the market longer as we start going into Winter). During the month of September there were 155 new listings in Pike County. In Pike County, the data would indicate that more properties sold this October than last October, the average list price increased and the average sale price was down (9%) from October 2012. There is a 24% increase of listings on the market during the month of October 2013 from last October. Homeowners are listing their homes higher thinking the market has fully recovered when in reality they are selling their home for less than they were last year. By listing at the appropriate market value, homeowners may sell their home faster and for more money than overpricing their home and letting it sit on the market with price reduction after price reduction.

- 958 active listings - up 2.8% from Oct 2012 (932 active listings in Oct 2012)
- 102 new listings - up 27.5% from Oct 2012 (80 new listings in Oct 2012)
In Wayne County, 20% more properties sold this October than last year. The average list price was relatively flat. The number of new listings during the month of October increased 27% compared to October 2012. Homes in Wayne County, Pennsylvania stayed on the market slightly less than they did last October AND the average sales price for this October was up 35%.Wayne County seems to be recovering faster than Pike County.
