"Worry is an abuse of God's gift of imagination" -Corrine Lajeunesse

Can you agree with the title? Well I know I can. How much do some worry about 90% of the things that "DO NOT" happen? I know I can attest to that. For many years I had let myself worry about things that I could not control. Why? Are we programmed that way? No, it is called learned behavior and the propaganda machine; bad news sells.

Over the past few weeks we have seen the news of the typhoon that has hit the Philippines, just a month before a 7+ earthquake, and after the typhoon, another earthquake. The area that was affected is my wife's area she grew up in, so we got together with our child's school and have donations being brought in to help with the relief effort. During this time, my father suffered a massive heart attack (in which the cardiologist stated my father is a walking miracle), however, we kept working.

If, and I use that word very loosely, we had let worry set in, our productivity would have definitely drop. We were able to think clearly by taking a step back and catching a breath. I am not stating it was not stressful, as it was, but stress is another form of productivity killer as well. We were able to prioritize tasks clearly and crunch time. My wife came up with an idea that we are in the process of getting patented, I kept chugging along prospecting and working on my business, and doing what we would normally do on a daily basis. Even with that we were able to continue the Philippine project and coordinate with family, friends, and health-care professionals in regards to my father's condition.

Do you let worry control you? Why? Only you can control how you react to external forces, do not let it control you. For many years I had let people and situations control me, then I woke up, and life has been great. You are the CEO of your life, be choosy. Once you take that step you'll be amazed at how much easier it is to stay positive and think straight.

In closing I want to quote James Allen from "As A Man Thinketh", "Think good thoughts, and they will quickly become actualized in your outward life in the form of good conditions. Control your soul forces, and you will be able shape your outward life as you will. The difference between a savior and a sinner is this: that the one has a perfect control of all the forces within him or her; the other is dominated and controlled by them."
