Afer reading the blog by Bill and Liz Spear, I decided to re-blog it becasue this pertains to all of us do it myselfers. (is that a word?) In addition to selling your own home, there are other things we try to do to get a home ready to sell. (Check out some of the calking jobs in the houses you visit, for example) I agree with Bliz. Get someone who knows what they are doing.
Are you a do it yourselfer by nature? If so, we totally understand your desire to save money and try to sell your Warren County home without benefit of a listing agent. After all, there's plenty of free advice on the Internet and a lot of great info that can help you!
We're also do it yourselfers when it makes sense. A YouTube video taught me how to repair my lawn mower's carburetor and we saved by not needing to pay a small engine specialist (this time). Internet forums can be great for troubleshooting other problems, but they have their limits. Recently one of our laptops started acting up, and it was getting to be more than a minor annoyance. The help forums DID help some, but after a week of nights trying to solve the problem myself I finally realized that this was a problem I couldn't solve alone. I needed professionals that fixed laptops regularly to give me my life back. After all, that time spent delving into the secrets of Windows meant I DIDN'T have time for other things I needed to do.
