Afer reading the blog by Bill and Liz Spear, I decided to re-blog it becasue this pertains to all of us do it myselfers. (is that a word?) In addition to selling your own home, there are other things we try to do to get a home ready to sell. (Check out some of the calking jobs in the houses you visit, for example) I agree with Bliz.  Get someone who knows what they are doing.

We're here to help you!Are You Tired Of Trying To Sell Your Warren County Home By Yourself?

Are you a do it yourselfer by nature?  If so, we totally understand your desire to save money and try to sell your Warren County home without benefit of a listing agent.  After all, there's plenty of free advice on the Internet and a lot of great info that can help you!

We're also do it yourselfers when it makes sense. A YouTube video taught me how to repair my lawn mower's carburetor and we saved by not needing to pay a small engine specialist (this time).  Internet forums can be great for troubleshooting other problems, but they have their limits.  Recently one of our laptops started acting up, and it was getting to be more than a minor annoyance.  The help forums DID help some, but after a week of nights trying to solve the problem myself I finally realized that this was a problem I couldn't solve alone.  I needed professionals that fixed laptops regularly to give me my life back.  After all, that time spent delving into the secrets of Windows meant I DIDN'T have time for other things I needed to do.

And within 24 hours of handing our laptop to the computer pros, we had our laptop back in our hands, fully functional.  $258 well spent because it removed the stress and the hassle of continuing to deal with the problems associated with fixing that laptop.

Now perhaps you may feel the same about marketing your home.  Tired of fielding all the phone calls?  Showing your home?  Spending money marketing your home? Figuring out WHERE and HOW to market your home?  Pricing your home right to get the most possible while still not chasing away the buyers.  Maybe you're at the point we were with our laptop, enough is enough.  None of us know what we don't know, and chances are if you don't sell homes regularly, there IS knowledge you don't have and those Internet forums won't be able to help you.

It's the knowledge that comes with selling homes regularly.  Knowing that missing one check box in the contract may cost you thousands.  Knowing whether a contract condition is risky.  Knowing WHERE and HOW to best market your home to catch the buyer's eyes.  This knowledge and expertise that is gained over years of selling homes, homes just like yours.

So if you're ready for a chat about how we can help remove the stress and hassle from your life and get a SOLD sign in your yard, please give The Liz Spear Team of RE/MAX Elite a call!  It's a no pressure consultation and doesn't cost you a dime until we succeed in selling your home!

Larry, I used to try to do everything possible myself when I was younger.  Now I find I'm much more prone to pay someone to do things for me.  My time is valuable, and their expertise may allow them to do a task in an hour that might have taken me all day (and still wound up needing to call them!).

I know what you mean. My dad was an aircraft mechanic in WWII and always worked on his own cars.  He had a problem with his car when he was in his 70s and I was surprised he didn't fix it himself. Now I now why.
