S & P stock futures began the day slightly higher after several day of new records. The Case Shiller housing reort showed that home prices were up 13% year over year while new housing starts were also improved. The odd part about the housing starts is that most of the permits issued were for multi-family units. tomorrow will bring reports on Consumer Sentiment, Initial unemployment claims, durable orders and the Chicago PMI. Don't look for much movement. The Dow and the S & P 500 were flat as the NASDAQ gained 23 points today.
