Holiday schedules for TRAX users in Utah
While using TRAX (light rail) to Sandy UT today, I received the following message:
Thanksgiving none; Friday is Saturday; Saturday is Saturday; Sunday is Sunday.
A perfectly clear message which for non-Utahns, outsiders and sundry visitors translates:
If you're looking for a train tomorrow, it'll be a long wait, there are none.
On Friday if you have to work, don't count on the early trains, they are using the Saturday schedule which has a loger time betwwen trains. All trains are low level (the differently abled get on at platform level, on any carriage where there are blue buttons near a door).
Saturday is using the Saturday schedule (other instructions for the revised Friday schedule apply).
The Sunday schedule applies on Sunday.
Told you it was perfectly clear
TRAX is a great service and is a growing part of Utah transport alternatives. It provides a practical way to see a lot of Salt Lake County, and the passing mountains and probably most of the orderly grafitti. In coming weeks, added snow will make the place look so-o tidy.
For the visitors, should you be at all unsure of where you are or where you need to be, ask any TRAX user, Ever friendly Utahns are noted for telling people where to go.
Happy Thanksgiving. See you all on TRAX
