The day after.

As I struggled out of bed this morning, I wondered why I felt so slow. I am positive that it has nothing to do with the amount of calories I consumed over an 8 hour period yesterday. Oh, my, gosh!

It is amazing how much one can eat when one puts their mind to it. I remember every year for many years my grandmother would say, just as I picked up my fork, "Just think of all those people who have nothing to eat today." This would only slow me down just a touch, but it rings in my head to this day. I wish I had an answer to the fact that people do not get enough to eat, or don't have shelter over their heads, or enough clothes to wear. My wife and I give to many charitable organizations but we can only do just a little.

With all the warm feelings from Thanksgiving, let's all make it a point to do at least one small charitable thing in the next week. It may only be a small ripple in a great big pond, but something is always better than nothing.

Amen Peter! If everyone does a little it will add up.  Time to get those bags of clothes I've collected to the charities they're intended for.

Good morning Peter. I really like your attitude and I suggested this. Something is always better than nothing. Enjoy the day my friend.

Peter, that is a great idea.  I too ate my fill yesterday and always try to do what I can to help others throughout the year.
