Black Friday Officially over the Top

Each year it seems the frenzy over "Black Friday" becomes more frenetic for shoppers and more publicized by all forms of media.  The speed of technology allows an analysis of the successes for retailers as the products are paid for at check out counters across the nation.  I actually heard a radio reporter refer to this weekend as "Black Friday Weekend"!  Stoop the presses!! Our priorities are totally out of whack.  This is Thanksgiving weekend!  It is a time stop and reflect upon the incredible gifts have been.  We should be thankful for freedom and the incredible abundance that we as Americans are afforded every day.  No other nation has such great gifts.  We need to ramp up the thanks, eschew the marketing and give back to those less fortunate.  Let us make it a weekend of kindness and togetherness.
