That's awesome. Sometimes I would just like to ask agents exactly what they are thinking. -Kasey
These are the type of listings that we try to avoid unless it's a Must-See by our buyers!
John & Shannon:
You illustrate and describe exactly what photos for a home should NOT be ... a subtle, but strong reminder.
Sure hope the new owner of this home either: A. Loves dogs ... or B: Doesn't expect that the dog is included in the Sales Price!

Congratulations! Well Done!!

Thanks, Gene!! Now we really need to see the inside so we can figure out what the listing agent was thinking!
My dog and my Real Estate Assistant, Beau, gets a lot of attention and compliments. I often include a picture with him on my vacant land photos but he does not go inside of homes I list. He is always with me when I take the photos and gets in them whether I want him there or not.

A picture of a dog for inside photos of a home is not a good substitute for interior photos. Many of my listings are quite remote. I show pictures with warts and all because I do not want to show to Buyers who expect something better.
Our MLS system fines us $1,000.00 if any animals or people are in our pictures- this would not fly in St. Louis!
Shanna, I'm glad to hear that St. Louis has those rules. Our MLS is full of pictures of people and pets. I think a $1,000 fine would get people's attention.
John, You're dog is beautiful and would be a welcome addition to a picture of vacant land!
Sounds like the listing agent doesn't want anyone to see what's inside. Not a good sign in my opinion.
This is always amazing when you look at some photos of listings! What were they thinking? Does the dog sell the house? Some interior photos are so dark you cannot tell what room it is!
Sometimes you have to ask yourself if the listing agent really wants to sell the home.....
Hello John and Shannon,
Isn't that frustrating...you are left to wonder if the house is a wreck, or if the owner is just not comfortable having interior photos published. The listing agent should have a comment in the listing to prevent losing potential showings/buyers.
John and Shannon,
That is so funny, and the kiss of death...I have seen pictures of homes here, with ocean sunsets and sunrises that have nothing to do with the home...what are people thinking of? A
And hopefully, that beautiful dog doesn't go with the house! I think you're right - most people will assume that the house isn't photo-worthy.
