You and your wife are good people to keep your pledge! Would it be wonderful if everyone could make some type of contribution, no matter how small. When inventory is low at the local soup kitchens, they are forced to purchase at retail costs, which their budgets cannot withstand. I volunteer at a soup kitchen on Thursdays, and we are beginning to see bare shelves again. Those of us who have it good need to remember, empty shelves equal empty stomachs.
A friend of mine runs a church and food pantry- so we all try to pitch in as much as possible!
Good reminder Bill, it is important to keep helping those in need throughout the year.
I was there today and dropped of a couple bags.
Many good families still in need.
Even if you can't donate food or other items...You time is also much needed.
William ....we can never give too much ....Thanks for what you and your wife do this time of year!
Have a great night!
