The Traditional Greening of Red Feather is always on the first (full) weekend in December- so that would be next weekend: December 7th and 8th 2013.
Now, this year - it's a little different, as many of the craft booths will be located in the Fellowship Hall/Community Building that is attached to the Chapel in the Pines. Chapel in the Pines is located right of County Rd. 74 E on the south side of the road.
(The Fellowship Hall was built with the Community in mind. The Fine Arts Festival used to be held in that building.)
Why aren't the crafters in the Fire Barn, like always, you might ask??? The firefighters decided that the Craft Show may hinder their emergency response time...
Does anyone like change? Of course not.
Do we want our firefighters ready- of course we do!
Luckily, the Village is small, and those who venture over to the Fire Barn, won't have far to backtrack to the Fellowship Hall/Community Building at Chapel in the Pines, that is after you've visited your favorite stops on Main Street, the Library, Firehouse Lane and Hiawatha Hwy...
and it's a great weekend to cut your own Christmas tree, either at the Forest Service cutting area or Beaver Meadows.
The Greening of Red Feather and Tree Cutting- a wonderful, fun filled holiday tradition- Saturday, December 7, 2013 9:00-4:00 and Sunday, December 8, 10:00- 3:00.
See you at the Greening!
