Oneida County Wisconsin, Natures Beauty, Big Bucks and Top Quality Forests whitetail deer

Oneida County is in the heart of tourist country in Northeastern Wisconsin, and there is a reason why the tourists flock hereSuperior beauty, ample wildlife, and great forestland.

It is a great place to raise timber and wildlife which is why you see so many smart people anxious to buy hunting land and timber land here.

Our clients at Woodland Management Service own a fair amount of forest land in this county and they are impressed with the bountiful wildlife and timber here.

Oneida County is home to 627 thousand acres of forest land, most of which is private land with some state, county and USFS land.

Most of this forest land is High Quality Pine, spruce and fir with nearly 230 thousand acres of these softwoods.  Aspen and Birch come in with a close second with over 220 thousand acres which provide premium deer and turkey habitat as well as excellent timber.  Oak and Northern Hardwood timber types also play an important role in this county with well over 100 thousand acres of these high quality timber types.nick cruising timber

These forests are not only good for producing income for our clients and great habitat for Deer and Turkeys, but it also provides good habitat for many other wild animals like Bear, Wolves, Grouse, and more.

Bob, (except for the hunting part) you are a man after my own heart! I LOVE reading your blogs, because you speak to that huge part of me that lives for wildlife, quiet forests and escaping all that is urban. I have the treat of getting similar photos, but they never get old! We have cougar and coyotes and bear and elk in our woods, but I've not seen a cougar or bear. Just drove home at dusk and saw a HUGE herd of elk literally a pasture away from my horse who is boarded on a farm 3 miles down the road. It's going to be bitterly cold here for a short while, starting tonite. I hope all of God's creatures find refuge.
