If you are moving to Palm Harbor Florida, selecting a neighborhood is one of the first and toughest decisions you will have to make.  An experienced and knowledgeable Real Estate Professional like The Dietz Team can help make this decision easy but a little research on your part will help.

Palm Harbor is a larger medium-sized coastal town  located on the west coast of Florida approximately 20 miles west of Tampa and 10 miles north of St. Petersburg.   With a population of 57,493 people and 15 constituent neighborhoods, Palm Harbor is the 46th largest community in Florida.

Palm Harbor is also nautical, which means that parts of it are somewhat historic and touch the ocean or tidal bodies of water, such as inlets and bays. Quite often, nautical areas such as these attract visitors and locals who come to enjoy the scenery and various waterfront activities.

Sitting in the middle of Palm Harbor is Lake Tarpon, one of the largest lakes in  Florida.  Lake Tarpon divides Palm Harbor's west side and east side and actually the east side is called the "greater east lake corridor.  Palm Harbor has two of the best public High Schools in Florida.  East Lake High School on the east side of Palm Harbor and Palm Harbor University High School on the west side.

Finally, deciding on a neighborhood is going to be determined on if you want to live on the east side or west side. Next, if you have school aged children your choice of a neighborhood will depend on whether you prefer East Lake High School or Palm Harbor University High School.  Finally, the size of the neighborhoods, average price range, community features, deed restricted or not, proximity to the Gulf Of Mexico, shopping, dining out and public parks will all play a part in your decision.  Again, my suggestion would be to find a knowledgeable Realtor to help you with this decision but just for the purpose of this article, here is a list of a few of my favorite Palm Harbor neighborhoods;

West Side                                                         East Lake Side
Autumn Woods                                               Lansbrook
Indian Trails                                                    East Lake Woodlands
Eniswood                                                        Tarpon Woods
Patty Ann Acres                                             Woodland Hills
Barrington Oaks                                              Ridgemoor
Oak Trail                                                         Boot Ranch
Severs Landing
Pipers Meadow

For clarification purposes, a few of these are not individual neighborhoods but larger areas containing multiple neighborhoods.  Also, Crystal Beach and Ozona are very popular coastal locations within Palm Harbor that are attractive to boaters and people who want to live on or near The Gulf Of Mexico.  For more information on any of these neighborhoods please contact The Dietz Team at 727-451-3530 or visit or website at www.dietzteam.com
