Round Rock, Texas is growing and breathing with excitement. New businesses are flocking to the area and established companies are enjoying the benefits of local flavor branded by new life. One of the things going on here, is that the highly anticipated restaurant, the In and Out burger finally opened. I don't know anyone that has made it there or eaten there yet (we are only on day 2) but I heard the line was off the charts. I think I will let the newness wear off and stick with the fabulous locally owned Red Wagon, who has the best hamburgers I have ever eaten.
In addition to the new burger joint, downtown Round Rock will be celebrating the 12 Days of Main Street. It started on Monday with Christmas carols at centennial plaza and will end with the movie "The Polar Express" at Prete Plaza on December 13th. Other events that will be held during this time, will be Market Days on Saturday, Family night on Friday night, with a bonfire and I hear Santa is expected to make an appearance on Friday as well. This is an excellent opportunity to visit downtown Round Rock, share the experience of a small town atmosphere with big city benefits.
