Sometimes the best Marketing can backfire!

Recently a local area Realtor in my area placed a banner above their office to mark the celebration of serving the local community for 25 years!

A great idea... that is what they probably thought, it is certainly what I thought, and probably what you are thinking right now as you read this...

Interestingly enough a friend walked into my office today and said to me "great for you that your competitor up the street is going out of business"  my ears perked up.... I said, which one?

Oh you know... across from the CVS, they have a big sign over the door thanking everyone for 25 years in business... so they must be closing up....

Guess the lesson today is sometimes even what we think is a great idea can backfire.

Oh wow, that wouldn't have occurred to me either, but I guess it's because it says 2012.  It reads a bit like an obit since it's 2013 and well soon 2014.
