Carlsbad Celebrates Holiday at the Rancho Saturday December 7, 2013
The famous Leo Carrillo Historic Ranch Park will again host the Carlsbad Holiday at the Rancho tonight from 5 to 8 pm.
This is a fun event for all and a great opportunity to also see this wonderful preserved historic ranch, formerly the hacienda for TV and movie star Leo Carrillo.
Highlighting the fun will be face painting, cookie decorating, a tree lighting ceremony, pony rides, and of course the opportunity to visit with Santa Claus.
You’ll be able to get some shopping done at the Craft Boutique and take some time to also tour the historic Hacienda (I’ve done so and it’s very cool – well worth the visit).
End the evening with the outdoor movie, a fun holiday film “Elf.”
Admission is now only available at the door at $8 (children under 3 are free).
It was raining but has now stopped – hopefully the weather will continue to improve – outdoor movies, and other festivities, in the rain are not fun.
