Congratulations to Shane Brown, of Elbert Colorado, for his excellent ride in the National Reining Horse Association Futurity (NRHA) Open Finals that were held in Oklahoma City earlier tonight.
He rode Berry Best Step, owned by Michelle Kuck. This year over 400 three year old horses were entered the 2013 National Reining Horse Association's Futurity in the open class. Shane scored a 217 in the finals and ended up placing 18th overall. Way to go!
Due to the weather, I opted to skip the finals this year. So, I had to watch it on my computer. I'm glad NRHA broadcast it. Below is a screen snapshot of Shane riding Berry Best Step.
The 2013 Open Futurity Champion was Not Ruf At All who was ridden by Jason Vanlandingham. The video below is of their winning ride.
Again, congratulations to Shane Brown and to all of the other winners. It took a lot of work to make it to the 2013 NRHA Futurity.
