A Song & A Smile For Business (When It's Needed Most)

By
Industry Observer TN LIC# 290452

"When You're Smiling"

Business can really be an unbelievable downer sometimes.

Buyers lying on prequals.

Lenders burying appeals for loss mitigation.

Closing delays.

Killing a deal because the seller

won't throw in the kitchen curtains.

Sellers covering the dog pee stains

on the wooden floor with a cheap carpet.

Continuing education requirements

surfacing every five minutes.

Computers crashing and mls data with it.

Showing homes when it's ten degrees below zero.

Board dues increasing annually.

E and O insurance rates, too.

Pipes bursting under the commode

when it's five below zero outside

because it wasn't winterized

while the home was empty and 170 DOM.

The seller is a hoarder and before the home can be staged

a warehouse has to be rented for all the junk.

Piles of garbage yet to be cleaned up.

Issues with mold that seem beyond redemption.

Pesky six legged things in the rugs.

Pesky six legged things in the pantries.

Pesky eight legged things in the storage rooms.

Pesky ten legged things in the garage.

Pesky four legged things humping your leg.

Things that sting in the bushes.

Things that smell bad in the carpets.

Suzy's roller skates on the staircase.

Timmy's skateboard on the staircase.

Rotting food in the refrigerator

that goes with the home.

Milk that's standing up that's not even in the bottle

in the seller conceded refrigerator.

Green sandwiches in the seller conceded refrigerator.

Mold in the refrigerator that goes with the home.

Odors so intense that a hazmat team needs to be mobilized.

The cat litter box that hasn't been emptied in three weeks.

Broken glass in the dishwasher that goes with the home.

Sellers who want to list their 75 thousand dollar home

for 300 thousand dollars.

Sellers who work the crowd at the open house.

Buyers who work the crowd at the open house.

Other agents who work the crowd at the open house

and gorge themselves on the kickshaws.

But through it sll,

I think of this wonderful song

And share the abundance of happiness

That I'm Feeling !

Scroll back up and read the list while

Satchmo is singing !

And Keep On Smiling !

-David-

David,  Smiling and laughing is good healthy energy.  When we do that ... the world will shine on us.  I love your creativity here. It's a wonderful choice of song as you reflect back on your 2013 business.  Keep smiling!

Thank you for participating in this challenge.  My bird is going crazy whistling as the song is playing.  He likes it too!!!
