As a former teacher, I love to use my past experiences in education as a Realtor. One effective method of prospecting has been the Neighborhood Report Card. I type in all the listings sold, days on the market, and for what percentage of the asking price. Customers, especially them engineer types are big on statistics. In the middle of the report card I'll put comments down from clients I've worked with. I go door to door in my farm area in Marion, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and put the report card on doorknobs. So far, I've gotten a few calls but nothing has come to fruition yet! Whether it's a Report Card for the quarter, a newsletter, a thank you card, it is ALWAYS A TOUCH, and that is why we're in this business! People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. I CARE and that's why I'm a Realtor!
