I personally show most of my listings so I can get right on the spot feedback from the buyer's agent and the buyers too. After they finish viewing the home, I ask them how they like the house? if they like it, I ask them what they like about the house. If they don't like it, I ask them what they don't like about the house and also if there are some things they like about the house. The responses I get are varied. Sometimes I get unexpected responses too. Here are a few:
The house is plain.
One guy spends about 20 minutes measuring 4 rooms and then says that he does not like the lay out of the house. Why would he spend that much time measuring? Is he planning to move walls?
I don't like the carpet.
The husband says the house is too dark. The wife standing next to him says the house is too light.
I don't like the area. (The area they did like was over 20 miles away. Why are they here?)
The closet is too big. (This one takes the cake for me. I never have had a closet that is too big.)
I love the house. I want to buy this house. ( This is my favorite answer.)
