This post was inspire by the post of Roger Mucci this morning. Only I go down a similar but different road.

A couple months ago the Oregon State Realtor convention was held as Sunriver RESORT. It was also the same time as our 37th wedding anniversary so my non Realtor wife decided to go for the 3 days. There would be lounging by the pool in the sun, paperback book reading and other things she would enjoy while I was at the meetings.

The first night I took her to the fancy lodge for a fancy meals and the waiter got NOTHING right and the food was NOT cooked right.

Breakfast with a different waiter was no different.

The lodge sent a survey and I let them "have it". I got a response " we are sorry, please book 2 nights at $200 a night and we will give you a FREE meal". Hence give me something before I make it right. Your thoughts?

So they want you to give them even "more" before they give you anything.....hmmm, doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. BTW, thanks for the mention, glad I could inspie you to write this post.

Rob - I think I would let the convention arrangers know. Maybe if the resort lost the business they would work on their customer service more.

Ah Rob, that's a bummer and it should not require any effort on your part to get a comp of some sort. The lack of concern about customer service surprises me. Makes us realize how powerful it is when we treat our clients very, very well.
