Fresno Winter Water Schedule 2013

As you are probably well aware of by now, Californians are facing a possible drought situation throughout the state, including the Fresno/Clovis area.  With another long dry winter staring us in the face, these conditions are only bound to worsen.  To help alleviate the burden placed on our state's natural resources, the City has put a strict Fresno Winter Water Schedule 2013 in place.

The Fresno Winter Water Schedule for 2013 has restricted exterior watering for all Fresno households to one day a week.  The homes where addresses end in an odd number (ie, 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9) can water their lawn and gardens only on Saturdays.  Even numbered addresses (ie, end in 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8) can only water on Sundays.  If you have a timer for your Fresno home sprinkler use, set it to go off at an odd time (ie, 10:22, 11:36, 1:13, etc) instead of on the hour to avoid a rush on the city's system which could decrease water pressure.  Setting it for an "off time" will also help conserve energy used to run the city's utilities.

The Fresno Winter Water Schedule 2013 runs from December 1, 2013 to March 1, 2014.  If rain is scheduled for your watering day, please turn off your timers so that you don't waste any water.  When we experience significant rainfall in the Fresno area, it is suggested that you give your sprinklers the week off to allow the water to seep back into the soil, avoiding oversaturation.  If you don't know how to set the timer on your sprinkler system, representatives from the Fresno Water Division are available for a free visit to show you how it's done.  Simply call (559) 621-5480 to schedule an appointment.
