A Personal Viewing of the Holiday Giving for Salvation Army

My husband and myself accompanied our daughter's Fresh Life Church small group Tuesday night to do some volunteering at the Salvation Army in Kalispell. We sorted donated toys onto age appropriate tables for the Dec. 20 "shopping" day. We learned how the Army pre-qualifies those that are receiving clothes, gifts, and toys for their families. So far, 900 people are going to be helped by the generous community we live in. We also got to peek in on the $ counters from the kettle donations. Volunteers meet nightly to count the money that came in during that day. The Salvation Army provides a great service to our valley and I know so much more than the visible kettles outside many stores. I encourage everyone to step inside one of the many charities that help out so much this time of year and get informed about what goes on behind the scenes.

Cary - The Salvation Army is a great organization.  They are one of the most helpful organizations.  We support them too.
