There will be plenty of entertainment at the fair. Be sure to check back often to see the lineup as it's announced. The stage showcases the talented individuals that are our neighbors
Of course it just wouldn't be the fair without the usual fair time favorites, County kids are caring for their animals, getting ready for the big show. The annual livestock auction will be held on Saturday, April 1st. The best of the best of the county will be on display. If you would like to enter, there is sure to be a category for you. Everything from baking, photography, wood carving, sewing and painting is available. Pick up a fair book for an entry form and rules. Or get get all the information here.
Wednesday is Seniors Day, graciously sponsored by SRP. Everyone 55 and over will be admitted free of charge. "SRP has become a real community partner of the fair. We appreciate their sponsorship. Their generosity makes it possible to offer the fair free to seniors," says Michael Searle, Marketing Director.
The Read To Ride program is back but moved to Sunday to allow an opportunity for more kids to particpate. Children in K-6th grades who participate are free all day. County students who read 6 books and bring their completed form to the fair with them on Sunday (before 4pm) will be admitted to the fair for free and will also receive tickets to ride 4 free carnival rides.
For all you thrill seekers, be sure and purchase an unlimited carnival ride ticket prior to March 27th. The ticket is redeemable any one day the purchaser chooses and is good for unlimited rides on that day. It's a savings of $5.00 over the on site ticket price. Tickets can be purchased at Food City in Casa Grande and the fairgrounds office 520-723-5242. Check out the website for additional locations and times.
Mark you calendars! Plan to attend to help us celebrate. Come out and enjoy it all from racing hogs to fresh corndogs, from flying birds that sing to rides that make you scream. Don't miss the entertainment. Admission to the fair is $6 for adults, $3 for children 6-12, children 5 and under are free. The fair will be March 28th - April 1st.
