Before I start with my rant/praise (you will have to read it to find out whats in it) I want to take a moment and say thank you to the Osceola County Associatioin of Realtors for their "Rising Affiliate Member of the Year" award.
What did I do to deserve it? I have no idea. It might be that I bothered to become involved in my local Realtors Association and actually decided to give into the Association instead of usual "What's in it for me", and "gimmee gimmee gimmee my name is Jimmy"
The problem with most people is that they let their short term goals overshaddow their long term goals.
Realtors, loan officers, home inspectors, appraisers etc all want to make a living and there is nothing wrong with that, but unfortunately greed and on many occaisons desperation takes over and all that is focused on is the immediate problem/sale/paycheck that lies in front of us.
Each of our professions is one of professionalism, customer service and passion. The one ingredient so many have discarded is passion, we let the daily grind, stresses and strains sap our passion from us.
Clients notice this and if they take the time to interview the prospective team members that they are assembling for thei home sale/purchase they will in almost all cases side with the person who shows not just experience but passion as well.
The next few weeks are supposedly the "quiet weeks" for us in the industry, for those who are experiencing a "quiet" time, take some time off to rest reflect and reignite you passion.
My prayer for you is that 2014 be the year your passion for your carreer burns stronger than ever and may the results exceed all your hopes and dreams.
Merry Christmas to one and all.
