Saturday, Dec 28 in Downtown Kirkwood

The 2013 Downtown Kirkwood Winter Fireworks Festival is scheduled to be held on Saturday, Dec. 28 in Downtown Kirkwood.

The musical group Project 324 will perform at 5 p.m. at Station Plaza. Fireworks will begin at 6:30 p.m. The display will be launched from the parking lot at Kirkwood City Hall, located at 139 S. Kirkwood Road.

Ice & Snow date is Sunday, Dec. 29 at the same time and place. For additional and cancellation information, check the Downtown Kirkwood website: www.downtownkirkwood.com

Bill- It is beautiful- Kirkwood decorates and really gets into the season!

Joe- Kirkwood still carries the small town feel ina big city- our main street is Kirkwood road and the building have been here since the early 1900's. The fireworks look beautiful when everything is lit up!

Joan- The streets will be filled- and many people will be on tier roofs to watch- given that there is not any snow! Local restaurants usually pass out free hot chocolate and candy canes to the kids!

Shanna, fireworks in Kirkwood sounds like a fun event. Enjoy! My daughter & I were in Niagara Falls last weekend, but missed the fireworks due to traffic not snow or ice.

Mary- I am sorry you missed your fireworks! I hope we have snow so that it makes it even more vibrant! You should come to Kirkwood to see ours- It would only be about a 16-17 hour drive- Merry Christmas!!!

Larry- Fireworks are my favorite! Seeing a lot of people in my ommunity is also tons of fun!

Shanna, fireworks are always fun to watch! Our community has just recently started to have fireworks at the turn of the new year. It certainly is different from the Fourth of July fireworks. Actually, it is more enjoyable as there are fewer people outside.
