We are havin’ a Party!!
Realtor socials are all the rage here in Tallahassee, FL. Well okay, maybe ‘all the rage’ is overstating it a bit, but they are popular and happen on a regular basis.
Traditionally, we at Century 21 First Realty In Tallahassee have not participated in the festivities much. And we recently have come to suspect that we might be missing the boat. These events have value as opportunities to mingle with fellow realtors from other offices and network with builders and such. So we figured that if we host one at our office it would be a great way to show off a more personable side of the best real estate company in Tallahassee. Hell, we know how to have fun!!
Being new to this game, I was hoping to get some party planning tips from real estate professionals on Active Rain!
Our basic formula as it stands now is to set up a food tent and some high top tables under the big oaks in our front parking lot. We have a local band, Night Breeze providing entertainment. Our Quality Service Staff will be manning the snacks table and bar so that folks can meet the people behind the scenes here at the office. And we have a raffle planned with a street pilot GPS system, a spa day and a meal gift certificate as the prizes.
As for advertising we have scheduled an announcement on the Tallahassee Board of Realtors Multiple Listing Service (MLS) website calendar. We’ve made up flyers to email out. And we are toying with the idea of a call around to our fellow realtors in town.
So, what am I missing? And, in the event that this proves to be a good idea and we decide to host more of them, what are some other good ideas for making get-togethers like this fun and memorable? I’m sure some of you have been to a good party or two like this. Did you see/experience anything worth repeating?
