YES, Rock County Wisconsin is motoring along, without the local GM plant that was located in Janesville, WI for almost 100 years, and that closed in 2008.
2013 Single Family Home sales will exceed the numbers for the preceding 5 years, ending up in the neighborhood of 1,700 plus sales. Although the numbers are less than the 2,000 plus sales of 2007, they have been improving for two years in a row, running about 30% more than 2011.
Prices are steadily climbing, and although average prices are about the same as 2003, they are skewed by REO sales and Short Sales. Take those out, and prices are almost the same as 2007, when our local market prices peaked!
That's good news for nondistressed home sellers. You can now sell without having to Sacrifice!
