You really are walking in a winter wonderland, if you're lucky enough to either live in our beautiful desert Valley, or if you're a visitor! The weather outside is far from frightening, in fact it's absolutely amazing. Clear skies behind majestic mountains that overlook wide open spaces. All of the cities in the Palm Springs area come alive during the holiday season.
Palm Springs offers its tour of modern homes , as well as it's village shopping area, on Palm Canyon. If you move just a little bit more towards the center of our Valley, to the cities of Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, and Indian Wells, you've got to take a drive down our beautiful EL Paseo Dr., which is so festive and sparkly. Sculptures line the median of EL Paseo, and ribbons and lights welcome holiday shoppers. EL Paseo is the Palm Springs Valley Rodeo Drive, and not to be missed!
If you move a little bit more easterly in our desert, you will arrive at the beautiful city of La Quinta, the "gem" of the desert. Take a drive south on Eisenhower, and be sure to take the time to visit the La Quinta Resort and Spa. They go all out for Christmas, with sparkling lights, a huge tree and snow, entertainment and a festive holiday atmosphere.
With our startling winter weather, which right now is about 78 during the day, and drops down to about 40 at night... Perfection! I never get over the magic of this beautiful place, and I feel so fortunate to live here as my permanent residence. Come on out and experience the desert for yourself.. It really is a great time to shop for properties just before our snow birds hit the Valley in droves.
