To Sellers, you might think staging the home doesn't make that much of a difference but as professional stagers know, it could make all the difference. Like most professional stagers, Sharon Tara understands when the buyers have a "aha" moment and that's when the buyers fall in love with the property. When their in love with your property that's when you sell quick and get the most for your home. I understand getting top dollar and selling quick is what sellers want first. When it comes to real estate, one thing is certain....CHANGE.
I'm not talking about the obvious....changing location, moving from one home to another. I'm talking about the changes that must take place in order to prepare and present a house for sale. This is where Home Staging comes in. Home Staging IS change.
Many of the changes made by a Home Stager seem trivial at first glance....moving a chair from one side of the room to the other or removing a rug from the hallway doesn't seem like much of a strategy to most people. I'm often asked "will that really matter to people looking at the house?"
I've seen many eye rolls over the years from sellers who wonder how something like removing a window valance can impact the sale of their home. The “aha” moment comes when I explain that each change a stager makes has a marketing strategy behind it....how it’s all part of the master plan to increase their home's appeal to buyers. Once my clients understand WHY the change is being suggested, and how it will increase their chance of selling, they accept it and the real fun begins.
As a Home Stager, it's common to hear a client say "I would never have thought to do that!" We often hear real estate agents say it too. These words are music to a Home Stager's ears! It means we have done our job. We have made a positive change that otherwise would not have happened.
Making changes that others would never have thought of is what I do.
