Rochester NY, ranked as high as 45 for best places for business and careers. Rochester ranked 73rd for cost of doing business in Rochester. The cost of living in Rochester verses the cost of goods and services as well as the affordable cost of real estate in the greater Rochester NY area helps Rochester's cost of doing business. In job growth Rochester ranked as high as 56th.
Rochester is an international center of higher education, as well as for medical and technological development.  The Rochester, NY region is known for many acclaimed universities located in Monroe county. Rochester came in ranked at 63rd in the county for education. Some of the universities and olleges in the the greater Rochester area are: Nazereth College, St. John Fisher College, Roberts Wesliyan College, SUNY at Geneseo, SUNY at Brockport. The most notably recognized are the University of Rochester ( UofR ) and the Rochester Institute of Technology ( RIT ) , who nationally renowned for their research programs.

Great news for Rochester! And you are a great ambassador for the city. It's those winters that would drive me batty! Over the years I've worked with lots of people who moved from Rochester to Charlotte and tell me that while they love going home to visit friends and family they don't miss those winters!
