"You have an appointment on New Year's Day?" was the question I heard from my son as he wandered off to bed after celebrating New Year's Eve. "Yes, bright and early so we won't be here when you get up."
Much of my business this year has been about availability. I closed on a condo last Friday that was a cash deal. A woman called me on 12/5, she was coming into town for the day and wanted to see two condos. I showed her the condos, we wrote the offer and closed on Friday. Deals like that have been a pretty common occurrence for the last few months.
I try to accommodate my clients as best I can when they want to go look at a property. This particular client wanted to take advantage of the day off work to see this new listing. Since we were only going to see one property, I decided what the heck, why not? Tom even scheduled his golf game for later in the day to go with me.
While the rest of the agents in my area are recuperating from a late night, we'll be out showing a house. And with any amount of luck be writing an offer afterwards.
You have an appointment on New Year's Day? You betcha!!
