Do you enjoy having a high quality dining experience? Earlier this evening three friends and I converged at a relatively new downtown Belgian restaurant, Max's on Broad, in Richmond Virginia. It was a wonderful first-time experience for all of us. Opening just a few months ago, the restaurant was established by the owner of another renowned Richmond restaurant called Tarrant's, located on nearby Broad Street.
Immediately upon entering this two-story restaurant, I was very impressed with the nearly $1 million spent on renovations. Reclaimed wood paneling and subway tile are just a few examples of the attractive features inside. Who ever did the interior design work did a fantastic job! For me, one main attraction of eating out somewhere is beautiful surroundings.
My second attraction for selecting a restaurant as one of my favorite choices is the quality of food. Fortunately, Max's on Broad offers very high quality and delicious food likely to please nearly every palate. First having an appetizer, I selected an order featuring mussels, a new seafood choice for me. Secondly, I enjoyed a vegetarian pasta entree along with a tasty salad. Finally, three out of four of us ordered amazing desserts. Everything brought to our table tasted great, and we had no complaints at all. There are numerous choices on the menu, so the likelihood of finding something to appeal to anyone is very high!
Although spending a little extra on restaurant dining can involve some risk, all of us were very pleased with our experience at Max's on Broad. The restaurant's investments in beautiful decor, having a friendly wait staff, and a wide selection of gourmet food are well worth the few extra dollars paid by customers.
