New Bakery in Porter Ranch!!!!!! House of Bread!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

Since I live in Porter Ranch I am always excited when something new happens.  This week's something new is extra special because Porter Ranch could use a few more good places to eat!  It's the House of Bread on the corner of Mason and Devonshire.  If you are from this area I'm sure you have driven by it and wondered "House of Bread, what's that?"  Well, let me tell you!  It is a fantastic new bakery of yummy healthy breads!

Yes, that's right all you dieting health conscious people -- HEALTHY BREAD!

The new owner Soo Cho tells me it's made with chemical free Montana wheat and most of the baked goods are fat free and contain no sugar, oil, milk, eggs or cholesterol.  Sound too good to be true?   I'm sure you're thinking "Yeah, that lump of bread taste real good with nothing in it... like about as good as eating a card board box?"  Right?

But I've tasted some of the breads and they are yummy, yummy, delicious!!!!  Seriously, they are great.  My three year old and sixteen month old sons also loved them too, especially the Cinnamon Raisin Walnut.  Best part, they were eating something good for them!

But don't take my word for it.  Take the time to stop in and try it yourself!  The House of Breadis open Monday thru Saturday from 7am till 7pm the address is 20507 Devonshire St. and their website is http://www.houseofbread.com/.

Hi Melissa,

When my family lived in Granada Hills in the seventies there was NO place to eat in Porter Ranch.  I assume it has grown a bit since then. In those days real estate sales people had maps showing how the wind blew through Porter Ranch and kept the air clean.  Is that still the case?

Melissa, I was wondering what House of Bread was all about. I'm not one to try out new places without a recommendation so thanks! Now I'll try it!
