The Three Types of Real Estate Agents

By
Education & Training

I was told this years ago by a very successful real estate agent that there are three types of agent:

Agents who think of real estate sales as a job

Agents who think of real estate sales as a career

Agents who think of real estate sales as a lifestyle

Can you guess which agents are the most successful?

Let me be as bold to suggest if you see it as a job, you are doomed. You can’t possibly have the passion necessary to make it in this business. Find something else to do!

The most successful agents we know don’t limit themselves to traditional ‘list and sell’ real estate deals. They are open to all the possibilities. If this describes you, try adding working with investors, and I’ll give you two good reasons:

1.   Investors make up 50% of all real estate transactions over the past 5 years.

2.   When the economy is bad and the word on the street is that no one is listing or selling, that’s when investors are the busiest. When you know how to attract investors, you prosper when times are good and bad.

Of course you have to know investors and what they want, and how to serve them.
