FInally, light colored kitchens in the desert

By

Don't get me wrong. I love the look of med-dark stained knotty alderwood cabinets, some shade of brown speckled granite, and earth-toned paints. However, almost every home built within the last 8 years in Mesquite, NV looks like this. Today I previewed the recently decorated new home models at Del Webb's Sun City Mesquite. I am in love! I love the light gray paint and the light granite with  waves of color found in white carerra marble. The sun entering the room just bounces off them making for a really bright and airy kitchen. These homes look so cheery! I can hardly wait to show them to my clients. Here is a look at one section of a kitchen. I need to go back tomorrow, in the morning, as the late afternoon sun was casting shadows. What do you think of these colors for desert living?

Glad you finally found some balance!  In the cold, damp, rainy Pacific NW we have bright kitchens galore!
