Access able washer connections. What if there is an issue?
I like to list Issues I find when inspecting a home for a buyer or seller. By like I mean when I find an issue, I want to make sure it makes it into the report for the client to review with their agent.
We do just that. List the issues for the client to hash out with the seller.
But what of the seller say's what you listed in the report is not right? I hear this from time to time and end up finding the right answer for the seller.
In this case the utility room was in an addition on the east side of the home.
The washer was installed correctly.
But the drain was missing. At least not visible where the connection as in the wall.
This is what I found and wrote up as an issue for the buyer.
I was told there was a lot of air coming in and the seller wanted to stop the air.
But the drain is no longer access able for the owner to check for draining issues of the drain was to become plugged.
This needs to be made access able again.
The crazy things sellers do without thinking of the consequences.
This is why you always get a "FULL Home Inspection" by a certified inspector. For the peace of mind.
